    Larry Wilson

    I’m A WORKING SCREENWRITER with iconic hits like Beetlejuice and The Addams Family in my resume, a movie in production, projects in development, plus I’m constantly writing my own screenplays. I understand screenwriting deeply because it’s what I do, not just what I teach.

     

    I was a Creative Executive at Paramount Pictures, working directly with Jeff Katzenberg, the former president of Disney Pictures and founder of DreamWorks. I’ve worked with great writer/directors like James Cameron, Kathryn Bigelow and of course, Tim Burton. I was also a story analyst for every major studio in Hollywood, reading hundreds of scripts.

     

    I’ve taught script writing, script analysis and my specialty, Horror & Fantasy for 30 years at the University of California Los Angeles Extension Program. I’ve taught dozens of private workshops.

     

    What’s unique about my experience is that I’ve worked successfully on “both sides of the desk”. I can help you write your best screenplay and also help you understand how to sell it.

  • 1-year Script Mentoring Program

     

    For the dedicated writer ONLY! I will mentor you through the process of developing your script. We will start with YOUR original idea, and together work through the process of outlining, script treatment, scene development, world building, character development, dialogue, and Acts 1, 2, 3. YOU will be doing the writing, and I will be guiding you though CONSTRUCTIVE feedback through out the process. A one- on-one zoom meeting will be scheduled once a week for customized screenwriting lessons and to go over my notes and feedback on your writing. How much you get accomplished will be based on how much time you dedicate to writing your script. Full time writers can accomplish a completed screenplay within 1 year.
